This week’s Innaloo Sports Club Weekly Newsletter is packed with great community stories, club news and upcoming events, and we invite members and friends to take a few minutes to read the latest edition.
A highlight this week again, is Adam Hutchinson’s inspiring 96km Kokoda-style walking challenge during the month of March, in support of Soldiers On, raising awareness and funds for veteran mental health services. The Club community has rallied behind Adam as he continues his journey.
Members are also continuing their strong support for Grandcarers WA, with generous donations and food contributions helping grandparents and kinship carers supporting children in need.
On the entertainment front, don’t miss the upcoming Dr Soul Motown Show on Saturday 28 March, featuring a powerful 10-piece band and an evening of classic soul and Motown hits. Tickets are limited, so be sure to book early. Tickets can be purchased at the bar or online.
On the competition front, the Bowls Pennants season concluded with the final round of matches, with Innaloo teams showing strong effort and competitive spirit across the divisions. Meanwhile, the Innaloo Irish Darts Club launched its winter competition in style, recording two impressive opening-night wins over teams from Johnny Fox’s. Unfortunately, in the pool competition the Innaloo Rebels were unable to secure a win in the Grand Final, after being in front for most of the game.
Bowling members are invited to the Pennants End-of-Season Sausage Sizzle on Saturday 21 March from 1pm, where for $10/per person players, families and supporters can relax together and watch the Men’s Singles Championship Grand Final unfold. Kids are free.
Alongside these highlights, the Club continues to offer its regular favourites including Zumba Tuesdays, Mid-Week Bowls Wednesdays, Mahjong, social ping pong, line dancing, darts and pool competitions, plus live Premier League, AFL and Rugby action, the TAB, and plenty more happening around the Club.
Chase the Ace wasn’t won last week so it has jackpot to $1,300. Come along an see if you’re the one to win it. Or pick up a $2 raffle ticket for a chance to win $100 or try your hand at getting the right points score difference in the AFL selected match of the week, for 3 for $5.
