ISC Weekly Newsletter Vol10 – 10 March 2026

Another lively week at Innaloo Sports Club has delivered great sport, great company and plenty of reasons to celebrate across the Club.

On the greens, it was a strong week for Innaloo bowlers, with three impressive pennant victories in Round 17. Thursday teams recorded dominant wins over Nollamara and Morley, while Saturday’s Division 2 side secured an excellent result against Doubleview. The Open Gender Women’s Tuesday Pennants team also claimed a tight 62–58 away win over Joondalup, showing great determination late in the season.

Off the greens, congratulations to Aidan Carberry, who captured the Men’s Singles Darts title, defeating Kyle Higgins 4–1 in a quality final.

A special highlight was the joyful birthday celebration for Life Member Myra Solomon, who marked her special day with family and friends at the Club on International Women’s Day.

Around the Club, Wednesday night poker continues strongly, with the WA Poker League hosting Texas Hold’em from 6pm ($100 buy-in, no rebuys). Meanwhile, Adam Hutchinson is preparing for his remarkable 96km fundraising walk in support of Soldiers On.

Friday night excitement also continues with Chase the Ace, where the jackpot has now climbed to $1,200 after John narrowly missed the Ace of Spades. The draw takes place every Friday at 7pm, alongside the popular Hundred Squares, which produced four winners last week.

Don’t forget the many regular activities including Zumba Tuesdays, Meat Pack Bowls Wednesdays, pool and darts competitions, Mahjong, social ping pong, line dancing, live Premier League action, TAB facilities and more.

Looking ahead, members are warmly invited to the Pennants Season Sausage Sizzle on Saturday, 21 March from 1pm — a relaxed afternoon for players, families and supporters to celebrate the season together.

And don’t forget to contribute with a cash donation or bring along non-perishable food items or toys to support grandparents and kinship carers who step up to provide safe, stable homes for children when families need it most – www.grandcarerswa.au

With bowls, social sport and plenty happening each week, there’s always something happening at your Club.
