There’s another packed week ahead at Innaloo Sports Club, and Vol 39 of the ISC Weekly Newsletter has all the news, results, entertainment and Club action you need!
Friday night is shaping up as a big one. Chase the Ace rolls on after Maria found the King of Hearts last week rather than the elusive Ace of Spades, meaning the jackpot has climbed to a tempting $1,600! It grows by another $100 each week it isn’t won. Add the popular Borello meat-pack raffles when available and the $2 Hundred Squares raffle for a chance to win $100, and Friday nights continue to deliver plenty of fun.
There’s plenty happening beyond the raffles too.
Earl Cole brings the hits of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s to the Club on Sunday 4 October, while the Pitch Inn Food Truck is serving up a huge Friday-night menu.
Looking further ahead, mark your diary for PK’s Mixed Doubles Pool Competition on 11 October, the next Pool Shark coaching session on 18 October, and the spectacular Double Thriller AC/DC and INXS Experience on 14 November.
There’s been plenty of sporting drama too. The Innaloo Rebels finished fourth after a narrow 13–11 elimination-final loss, while D2 and D4 were crowned darts Grand Final winners. The Pocket Plonkers are also through to their Division 2 semi-final.
And your regular favourites keep the Club buzzing: Tuesday Zumba, Ladies Winter Bowls, Wednesday Mid-Week Bowls, Mahjong, WA Poker League, Monday and Wednesday 8-Ball Pool, Thursday darts, Friday morning and Saturday afternoon social bowls, social ping pong and beginner line dancing. Catch Premier League on Stan, rugby, motor sport and plenty of other live sporting action across the Club’s many TVs, enjoy the TAB facilities, or simply settle in with friends and soak up the atmosphere.
Following last week’s sad news of the peaceful passing of our dear friend Anthony Whitton, members and friends who would like to pay their respects are welcome to come by the Main Hall on Friday, 16 October from 12.00 pm. Our thoughts remain with Anthony’s family, friends and everyone at the Club who knew him.
